Stu Boyd
Owner
Hi, I’m Stu Boyd, owner of Boyd Automotive & Tire. My parents tell me I’ve been in the business since I was about 3 years old, always trying to fix things (although mostly just taking things apart in the early years). Once out of high school, I managed to secure an apprenticeship at a Ford dealership. I stayed there over 17 years and worked my way up to become their lead diagnostic technician.
I am happily married to Terri (Theresa) for over 20 years and have 3 wonderful kids: Megan, Josh, and Rachel. My family is my main hobby and we are actively involved in our church. I do enjoy working with anything mechanical, as well as riding dirt bikes with family and friends. Family camping trips are the way we spend most of our summer vacation time.
Terri Boyd
Owner
I’m Terri Boyd and co-owner of Boyd Automotive & Tire with Stu, who I have been married to for over 20 years. My background is in nutrition and food service management. I worked at the St. Catharines General Hospital until our children came along. I was fortunate enough to be able to stay home with our children and now that they are older, I do the bookkeeping for the business and keep Stu in line. I love to bake, camp, and go geo-caching!
In 2002 we succumbed to the desire to operate our own repair facility and in October of that same year, Boyd Automotive was born. Here we are, many years later, and now Boyd Automotive & Tire is a well–respected repair facility in the Niagara region.
Mike Brownlee
Owner
My name is Mike Brownlee, and I joined Boyd Automotive in January 2019 as an owner with Stu and Terri. I was previously working as the General Service Manager for Performance Lexus Toyota for the past 24 years. I graduated from Georgian College in automotive, and I also have training from Disney Institute in customers for life. I have loved being able to give family, friends and customers a quality and personalized experience, and look forward to doing so here at Boyd Automotive.
I am married to a wonderful lady named Deborah. I love spending time with my family, and going for walks with my golden doodle Kayla. We enjoy attending church together, and have been attending Wainfleet BIC church for over 20 years now.
Alan McIlroy
Automotive Technician
I’m Alan McIlroy. I started here at Boyd Automotive in 2007, first as a co-op student and then was hired as an apprentice technician. I completed my apprenticeship and became a licensed Interprovincial Automotive Service Technician. In November 2012, I made the move to Service Coordinator and now currently hold the position of Automotive Technician.
I was raised just outside of a small town called Normandale along the northern shore of Lake Erie. I’m happily married to my wife Cheryl. We purchased our first house in 2012 and have enjoyed making it our home.
My wife and I are involved with our church and really enjoy helping lead the youth program. I enjoy the great outdoors, as well as various forms of technology, particularly computers. I have always had an interest in art, but one of Cheryl and my favorite things to do is entertain friends and family around the dinner table.
Ken Peacock
Automotive Technician
I was born and raised in Pelham, ON., I attended E.L. Crossley Secondary School and graduated with honours in 2008. After high school I went on to Niagara College where I took the Automotive Service Technician course for 2 years and graduated in 2010 with scholar (Red Seal-interprovincial).
If I’m not working under a vehicle you’ll find me fishing or raising race horses and working on our family farm in Fenwick!
I have been working at Boyd Automotive since May 2015- my specialty is not being afraid of a challenging job and I will dive into any repair.
Barry Blanchard
Service Manager
I’m Barry Blanchard, and I am so pleased to be part of the Boyd Auto Repair team! I started at Boyd Auto in October of 2021, but I’ve been working in the automotive repair industry since 1992, when I started my apprenticeship at Niagara Battery and Tire. I spent many years on the shop floor as a lead mechanic, and over the past years have moved into the service advisor role.
I’ve always been mechanically inclined. As a young child I was forever taking things apart and rebuilding them. At the age of 13, I was doing repairs on my parents’ vehicles! I feel fortunate to be able to make a living doing what I love. It is my goal to provide our clients with the best service experience possible.
My wife and I have six fantastic kids – Jacob, Ian, Owen, Eric, Riley and Joe – and we also have three beautiful grandchildren, Trenton, Grace and Lydia. My family is priority number one. We love to camp, especially at provincial parks, and spend most of our vacations this way. I get my adrenaline rush by racing in the Thunderstock division at local dirt tracks, and I relax spending time with our two coonhounds, Kipper and Goose.
Rob Thomson
Automotive Technician
My name is Rob Thomson and I have been an Automotive Technician for over 20 years.
I’m married to my wife Lynda and have two children, Cameron and Makenna. Both are very active in sports and we keep busy year-round with baseball, hockey, and Ringette. In the winter we build a large outdoor ice rink and spend a lot of time out there with family and friends. In the summer you’ll often find us out dirt biking and camping.
Nancy Chiaramonte
Service Administrator
Hello, I am Nancy Chiaramonte and I have been with Boyd Automotive since 2016. I have many years experience in the service industry, and it is what I love to do. Working at Boyd Automotive has been a very enjoyable and satisfying experience to add to my resume of a variety of automotive makes and models of vehicles that I have had the pleasure to deal with as an advisor.
I grew up in a small town called Wellandport , but have spent my adult life living in Niagara Falls with my husband Joe. If I am not at work, I am spending time with my daughter, Tara and a grandson Chase. He is very active in soccer, both summer and winter, and he is the center of our world.
Bruno (Buck) Parisotto
Past Facility Manager – R.I.P. May 2023 🙁
Bruno had been here since opening day and even before – helping us get our shop cleaned up and painted and ready for BOYD AUTOMOTIVE INC to open its doors back in October 2002! Then, for almost 20 years he’d show up here long before most people were even out of bed, every morning, 6 days a week -cleaning up our shop and customer waiting area and so much more, getting us ready to go for another day!
We are so thankful to have had him for a friend and for his incredible generosity with his time and energy and his wonderful sense of humour!
Thank you, Bruno!! You are missed!!!

I started working at Grimsby Hyundai and completed my apprenticeship there in early 2018, when I attained my Red Seal Inter-Provincial Automotive Service Technician Certificate. Jack Yarnell
Automotive Technician Apprentice
Hi, my name is Jack Yarnell, and I’ve been an apprentice here at Boyd Automotive since I graduated high school in 2020. I’ve always enjoyed working on cars and I’ve always had a love for classic and custom vehicles. Since I was little, I have always enjoyed learning new things about old cars and how to fix them, or any car, really. In high school, I bought a 1989 Firebird, which I am planning on customizing and restoring. When I’m not fixing cars, you can probably find me with friends and my dog Shelby, spending time outdoors. I’ve always had a passion for learning anything and everything about cars, and I’m excited to be able to use the skills I learn at Boyd Auto to help me in my future career.
Beth Rothwell
Service Advisor
My name is Beth Rothwell and I have been a Service Advisor at Boyd Automotive since 2019. I previously worked as a Church Administrator and Youth Director which I loved doing, but needed a change in pace. I love working alongside my coworkers and interacting with customers every day. It is truly like a family here, and we have created a great work atmosphere that can be seen and felt in everything we do.
I live in St. Catharines with my two teenage children and our English Mastiff, Pearl. When I’m not at work, I enjoy drawing and painting, hiking and hanging out with my kids.

In September 2022, I began working at Boyd Automotive as an apprentice technician shortly after graduating from the Niagara College program I am now working full time on completing my apprenticeship.
When the weather is nice, I like to be out on the road on my Harley Davidson, but I also enjoy watching sports, playing guitar, and researching how all kinds of mechanical and electrical systems work.
